Ms concepts
Our goal is to enable machines to better understand human communication. An important question is, what does the word “understand” mean here? Consider the following example. For human beings, when we see “25 Oct 1881”, we recognize it as a date, although most of us do not know what it is about. However, if we are given a little more context, say the date is embedded in the following piece of short text “Pablo Picasso, 25 Oct 1881, Spain”, most of us would have guessed (correctly) that the date represents Pablo Picasso’s birthday. We are able to do this because we possess certain knowledge, and in this case, “one of the most important dates associated with a person is his birthday.”
As another example, consider a problem in natural language processing. Humans do not find sentences such as “animals other than dogs such as cats” ambiguous, but machine parsing can lead to two possible understandings: “cats are animals” or “cats are dogs.” Common sense tells us that cats cannot be dogs, which renders the second parsing improbable.

¿Qué cambios ha habido en la composición en el siglo XX?
¿Cómo se relacionan tales cambios con la realidad sociopolítica de nuestro tiempo?
¿Cuáles son los principales cambios en la teoría estética que trata de comprender la música contemporánea?
Algunos de nuestros objetivos serán:
- Polemizar sobre el concepto de "contemporáneo" y su relación con la música
- Crear un mapa histórico en el que se puedan situar escuelas, compositores, estilos, etc. en el siglo XX
- Conocer la relación de los cambios de la composición con los problemas sociopolíticos del siglo XX
- Aproximar algunos problemas teóricos que abre la composición contemporánea (forma, autor, verdad, tiempo, etc.)

Con la Novena de Mahler, la ópera
wagneriana, Debussy y algunas escuelas nacionalistas un mundo construido
con esmero durante más de 300 años comienza a cuestionarse e incluso,
para algunos, a derrumbarse. Desde sus ruinas, surgen las primeras
preguntas que guían la filosofía de la música de todo el siglo XX y
también las de este curso. En el siglo XX, también, comienzan las
vanguardias musicales . Nos centraremos en el expresionismo, el
futurismo y el impresionismo, además de la incorporación de la banda
sonora al cine. Pero, ¿qué pasa un poco después, cuando todos estos
creadores son calificados como degenerados por el nazismo?
La mayoría de los músicos de vanguardia
tuvieron que emigrar a EE.UU. a partir del alzamiento de los fascismos
europeos. ¿Quiénes se quedaron en Europa y por qué? ¿Qué lenguaje
podrían utilizar en un momento en el que se pone en entredicho la
tonalidad, que hay millones de muertos en los campos de concentración, y
que el mundo está dividió por el bloque soviético y el norteamericano?
Hoy vivimos entre el sound art, el
landscape sonoro, el ruidismo y otras corrientes que conviven con
Beyoncés, Shakiras, Daddy Yankees, Queen, Muse o Silvio Rodríguez.
Tenemos un formato de concierto que cada día es más obsoleto y un
distanciamiento abismal entre el oyente “formado” y el oyente “de andar
por casa”. ¿Cuál es, en definitiva, nuestro mundo sonoro? ¿qué
implicación tiene lo sonoro en nuestra experiencia de lo cotidiano?

Se puede activar mathjax en todo, según sakai-jira, debe hacerse lo siguiente

la documentación sobre ese plugin, lamentablemente se cobra (con una tarifa por la cantidad de imágenes generadas diariamente). Estoy tratando de hacer uno similar que solamente saque el código en latex para mostrarlo con mathjax.

Pentax k5 video ae
So in default K-5 video mode you can control your aperture and exposure compensation (WB and other stuff) - and that's it - compared to other cameras like Canons and Nikons this pretty much sucks isn't it?! But there is a workaround how to control the ISO and the shutter speed as well. This might be handy when shooting e.g. on green background and you want to avoid motion blur caused by fast movements.
Here are the simple steps:
You have to use one of the USER modes - set it to Av and tweak your exposure settings.
When done - press the AE-L button - this will lock your exposure settings.
Keep it locked and then just switch to the video mode - the exposure settings will remain locked.
Start shooting and enjoy your manual settings

Limits: ISO must me 3200 at maximum and shutter speed must be at least 1/25 or 1/30 depending on the video format you chose.

2. Set the exposure program to Av (I have tested M, Tv, Sv, P and none of them work, it would align with my theory that the movie mode utilises its own perverted form of Aperture priority program.
II. Setting the exposure.
1. Once the upon is done, activate Liveview, preferably with the live histogram enabled, I also like to use the dark/light overlay to.
2. Dial in the desired aperture.
3. Dial in the desired ISO. (I believe based on my testing that 100-1600 is the most usable range, however someone else could further test this.
4. Setting the shutter setting is rather trickier, it involves aiming the camera at or away at a light source till you see the shutter speed at your desired value, ie 30, 60, etc and then hit the AE-L button.
5. Turn the dial to video mode and hit the shutter button, you will immediately see the AE-L symbol is still on the screen and your exposure is locked
as said above this only appears to work in Av mode in USER and no others.
III. Observations & unanswered questions.
1. You can see a clear difference in noise between locking ISO 100 & 1600, this is quite dramatically apparent when you have the dark/light setting enabled in liveview and you have the lens cap on.
2. I am still unsure of the limits of the shutter speed, ie how fast and slow can you lock it or does the camera automatically set the upper and lower limits of this. Further experimentation would have to be conducted.
3. Has anyone been able to pull EXIF data off K-7 videos yet?
